Hi folks, thanks for clicking onto this page.

On the 363 days of the year I'm not playing with
Tastes Like Chicken I often listen to the guitar
players below.  They usually make me want to go
practice or just throw the damn guitar away and
find something else to do.

Anyway, here are some of my favorites with
links
to their websites and
YouTube videos where
available.  Hopefully a few of them will be of some
interest.
Joe Pass - Jazz player who could do it all.  A great rhythm player and soloist, his speacialty was his
unaccompanied playing of standards.  Fine hairstyle as well.
Wes Montgomery - Amazing technique.  He played single lines, octaves and block chords like nobody else.
Check out his recordings on the Riverside label for his best stuff.
Hank Garland - Nashville picker who recorded with Elvis but also played jazz.  His "Jazz Winds From a New
Direction" is a great record.
Brian Setzer - Whether he's with the Stray Cats, running the big band or in one of his other trios his music is
always lots o'fun.
Albert Lee - Instantly recognizable and one of the fastest out there.  He's played with Eric Clapton, Emmylou
Harris and the Everly Brothers among others.
Jimmy Bryant - A Califormia session player who played on a bunch of hits in the 1950's.  His insturmentals
with steel guitar madman Speedy West are excellent.
Danny Gatton - Seemed to play all styles at once at breakneck speed.  Known as "The Humbler" to other
players.
Pete Anderson - Dwight Yoakam's guitarist and producer for years.  Nothing but twang.
Chet Atktins - Mr. Guitar.  Untouchable.
Albert with Vince Gill at the Crossroads festival.
Don MacLean's "Vincent" played by Chet..
Danny playing a Charlie Christian tune.
Brian taking the Mystery Train.
Wes giving his thumb a workout.
Short clip of Jimmy and Speedy.
Joe all by himself.
Pete with Dwight on Austin City Limits in the late 80's.
